Public Spaces Protection Order - Milton Park and Ride

The purpose of a Public Spaces Protection Order

A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is a power given to Council's under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act (2014), allowing Council's to restrict activity in certain areas to support public order.

Milton Park and Ride

The objective of the PSPO in relation to the Milton Park and Ride is to combat consistently disruptive activities that have a detrimental effect on the quality of life of residents and locals of the area. The PSPO would aim to address inappropriate and inconsiderate vehicle use causing vehicle related Anti-Social Behaviour.

The specific and individual activities that are included can be found in the proposed PSPO below.

Anyone who violates these rules could be fined.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and existing CCTV will be used to help enforce the rules. This means the council can track vehicles and issue fines without needing someone there at the time.

The order would be in force for 3 years from the date of it being passed, unless it is extended by another statutory requirement or order.

The area that would be covered by the order is outlined in red on the below site map of the park and ride.
