As of Tuesday, 18 November 2025, we will have soft-launched our new shared planning website. Our soft launch will allow residents to explore and provide feedback on the site ahead of the full launch on Tuesday, 2 December 2025.

We aim to ensure that our website meets your needs. Therefore, we kindly request that you use our new site and share your thoughts—what you like, what you dislike, or any issues you encounter.

Please note that when the new site launches on Tuesday, 2 December, access to the current site will no longer be available. However, you will not need to update any of your links, as they will continue to work seamlessly.

While we may not be able to address all feedback within the next few weeks, we will consider it for future updates.

User 2859485 months ago On the interactive map its difficult to ascertain the designation of the land due to the poor (IMHO) colouration of the map and the associated legends . Believe this land should be shown as green separation as per the new settlements policy document 3.3 page 306 , It is also designated as S/NS - S/NST in a map within the new settlements document 3.3 page 312 which I do not consider this to be an accurate reflection of its current or potential future use by implication of this policy designation. If this land is not going to be developed this should be made clearer. My apologies a very minor last point, whilst reading Policy document 3.3 page 306 a typo is evident !

User 3845526 months ago Good idea, but 3 immediate things to work on. setting the smallest radius one can set is '2 miles'. Don't you think you should be able to set a smaller radius than that to find applications of very local relevance, like 25m, 50m, 100m etc. Most people want to find out about their neighbour's extension etc, or the scheme at the end of their road. Within 2 miles you have told me about 39 applications, but of the 5 displayed 4 of them are discharging applications by default, not what most people are interested in. I also cannot see how to see the other 34 applications within 2 miles - no button at all? Separately, the radius also doesn't seem to 'work' properly. When I first put in my address it showed '0' applications within 2 miles. It was only when I adjusted it to '3 miles' it began showing applications.

Peter Mann6 months ago The 'View and comment on planning applications' button should be very obvious (i.e. in the top section) of the new site's home page not buried halfway down the 'How to view and comment on planning applications' page... because if one knows there's a local planning application of interest, one does not want to faff around looking for it.To make room, re-create the 'How to view and comment on planning applications' link as the first 'box' under the pale green strip.Talking of which, to make the boxes more definitive, use a pale colour behind alternate boxes (e.g. pale green > white > pale green > white etc).I like the 'Open in my area' option – but why are some of the sites listed not in distance order, beginning nearest first? Of the four panels with local data, three are not in such an order).
