Recycling of black plastic

Black plastic used to not be recyclable in the county because it couldn't be seen by infrared vision but this information has disappeared from the advice pages.

Is this because it IS now recyclable, or is it still not recyclable and actually this is a mistake?

If it is recyclable it would be nice to highlight this piece of uplifting news, perhaps taking the chance to emphasise that, as I learned today, cambridge is one of just 20% of councils that recycle plastic film.
